Week 7

So I know I skipped a week buuuuuuut that was due to me being super busy finishing rough character designs. I had created rough sketches of the mother, the father, the older brother, and Knox in his school uniform and his casual clothes. most of the designs have no face but..its not like that's important rite :D. Just kidding this week I'm going to fill in their faces. I have amazing news!!!! We have found a program that we can create our own sprites!!! Its called RPG Maker 95. Graphics not amazing. BUT its a program!!! the only catch is that it only works on programs like vista...BUT (again) we are lucky to have my amazing partner and her piece of ju- I mean old computer that runs on vista, its a free program and we get to design our own characters (that was our main problem with the other free RPG makers) on top of it all Paulina,my partner, is willing to learn programming if it is needed to design our game. Things are finally starting to fall into place lets just see how long that lasts.. until next week!

RPG process week 6

I am very sorry for skipping a few weeks I have been busily working on character design and UNFORTUNATELY still a program...if any of the readers have any ideas of programs that my partner and i could use please leave a comment!!!! it would be greatly appreciated.. we are looking to spend nothing more than time on this project so free programs would be AMAZING. But for the main character Knox whom is around seven or eight my reference for his hair would be Eren Jaeger from Shingeki no Kyojin. Reasion being is that because he is portrayed to be a young naive character I envision his hair to be short and choppy. His older brother on the other hand Torelle his hair style will be similar to Jean Kirstein from Shingeki no Kyojin. His role is similar to the correctional officers of the city so his hair should be shorter as well as neat so i'm taking the idea of the length of the hair from Jean.
Jean Kirstein (SNK)

RPG Process week 3

So my partner and I are still trying to find a DECENT program that requires little to no programming... that seems to be our biggest obstetrical is finding that program. I mean yes there are plenty of programs to us but we wish to make this game cost free. The cheapest programs are around $60. We could use the free programs but they are EXTREMELY limited. We wish to make a game where they players could choose their character and make choices along the way. So we are going to ask my partners sister to see if she has used a program similar to what we need. :D We haven't made any major advances on the plot but we are going to start writing the script/ dialog as soon as we can find a program. We are thinking that the character should see the things in his society and see nothing wrong with it because of him being so naive .

RPG Process Week 2

So my partner and I decided not to do the visual novel...so ignore the name of the blog.. We are now developing an rpg (role playing game)  which is kind of like a visual novel just you can actually control the character and make decisions. We thought that this would be more audience interactive and give them more control in witch direction the story will take them. My partner and I have decided that the story will have multiple endings dependent on the choices the player makes and the items they do or don't collect. We have decided on most of the main characters. The Parents (mom and dad as known to the character) And the elder brother. As depicted before you will be experiencing the world through the eyes of a child and you will truely see whats going on but alas your character will be naive to all that happens. but this week we have been looking at some programs to use. (kinda some luck but my computer wont run the program we are planning on using.. I forgot the name of the program but I will post it as soon as I find it :D )

Week 1

So my partner Paulina and i are in the process of developing a visual novel. This week we have determined that we want our setting to be in a futuristic Utopian society through the views of a child. In my work I have been researching different programs to use for the visual novel. So far I have had little luck with the programs and sites I have been looking at. They have been nothing we are interested in. Mainly because we wish to have our own characters in the story.these sites provide character, backgrounds and audio to the programming. We wish to be original with our plot, something no one has ever read before. In the next week or so we are planning on further developing our characters and plot. I will also look into different programs other than http://bassnovel.com/ don't get me wrong, this is a fantastic site for creating visual novels...just not what we are looking for.
